Creating a title block definition

A title block definition specifies the AutoCAD block to insert for the main title block of a drawing as described in Understanding revision blocks. The insertion point of this block is the basis for the insertion points of the revision blocks. When the title block is found in the drawing, the first revision block is inserted in the drawing. The insert position of the first revision block is the insertion point of the title block offset by the 0, 1, and 2 values of the PositionVector option of the title block. Subsequent revision blocks are inserted in a similar way.

Note    In the ImandrA 3.x, only KnownBlock functionality is supported. In the 2.x version, of the revision list block uses attribute linking instead of KnownBlocks.

To create a title block definition:

1. In the Revision List Designer, open the revision list definition file (*.rld) for which you want to create revision block definitions or create a new file.
2. Select Definitions in the left pane. The definition’s General options appear in the right pane.
3. Click the Add a revision block definition tool button . A new title block definition is added as a sub-branch in the left pane and its properties appear in the right pane.
4. Enter or select options using the descriptions in the following table.

5. Each revision list definition should contain one title block definition and at least one revision block definition. Proceed by creating a revision block definition as described in Creating revision block definitions.
